부자가 되려면 좋은 교육이 필요한가요?
I’m often asked this and I’ll answer it below.

But first, not many people realize it but their are three different types of education
하지만 먼저, 많지 않은 사람이 그것을 알고 있습니다. 세가지 다른 종류의 교육이 있습니다.
- Academic 학교 교육
- Professional 전문 교육
- Financial 금융 교육

학교 교육(읽기, 쓰기, 산수)과 전문교육(돈 벌기 위해 배워야 하는 것)이 중요하기는 하지만
… it’s not essential to become rich.
그것이 부자가 되는데 필수적이지는 않습니다.
In fact, there are many highly-educated people who are not rich.
사실, 고등교육을 받았지만 부자가 아닌 사람들이 많습니다.
Take my poor dad, for example. He was a highly-educated, successful teacher and educator who was paid well… but he wasn’t rich.
저의 가난한 아빠를 예로 들어보죠. 그는 고등교육을 받았고 급여를 많이 받는 성공적인 교사이고 교육자였지만 그는 부자는 아니었습니다.
My rich dad, however, was not well-educated. He often said, “One of the reasons well educated people fail to become rich is because schools teach them not to make mistakes. In school, if you make too many mistakes you fail.
하지만 제 부자 아빠는 잘 교육받은 사람은 아니었습니다. 그는 가끔 말하기를 “잘 교육받은 사람들이 부자가 되는데 실패하는 이유들 중에 하나는 학교가 그들에게 실수를 하지 않더록 가르치기 때문이다. 학교에서 네가 너무 많은 실수를 한다면 너는 실패한다.
How can you learn anything if you do not make mistakes? You cannot learn to ride a bike without falling off or become a great golfer without taking some bad shots.”
어떻게 네가 실수를 하지 않았는데 무언가를 배울 수 있을까? 너는 한번도 넘어지지 않고 자전거를 타는 법을 배울 수 없고 배드샷을 한번도 날리지 않고 훌륭한 골퍼가 될 수 없다.”고 했습니다.
What we aren’t taught is the value of failure.
우리가 배우지 못한 것은 실패의 가치입니다.
The problem with both an academic education and a professional education is that they frown upon mistakes. In fact, you’re punished for making them while often times ignoring the lessons hidden within.
학교 교육과 전문 교육의 문제점은 그들이 실수에 대해 인상을 찡그린다는 점입니다. 사실 당신은 실수하면 벌을 받습니다 종종 실수에 담긴 교훈은 무시하면서 말이죠.
And so one of the reasons why so many highly-educated people are not rich is because in school they were taught not to make mistakes.
그러므로 그렇게 많은 고등교육을 받은 사람들이 부자가 아닌 이유들 중의 하나는 학교에서 그들이 실수를 하지 않도록 교육받기 때문입니다.
